Dear friends and colleagues, We are sorry to inform you that we've decided to close the English version of Gothic.Ru. This isn't due to the stoppage of our activity: quite the opposite, Russian gothic/industrial/synthpop scene is unparallel in activity today. Ðarties, concerts and venues have become fairly regular, CDs of numerous Western gothic/industrial/synthpop labels are released in Russia by license, etc. In this conditions we work very actively, updating the Russian version daily, and thus having no time to devote to the English version. As before, you are welcome to contact us with any questions regarding possible concerts in Russia, finding partners to release licensed CDs, and of course we do accept CDs for reviewing, although the reviews aren't going to be translated into English. Let this last fact not bother you, since Russian Gothic Page occupies the leading position among East-European gothic resources: o ur Music section has the daily traffic up to 1,000 unique users and up to 5,000 hits, while our target audience isn't only in Russia, but also in all of the countries of the former Soviet Union. You can always check russian version pages by clicking on the menu, on the left side. Reviews & Events pages are updated regullary. At present our main fields of activity are: - Gothic.Ru development. With the overall traffic of up to 2,500 unique users per day (all sections of our site - music, literature, art, cinema), our Music section offers news concerning the gothic scene locally and worldwide, information on local and international music festivals, band concerts, reviews and interviews with bands. We are official partners of labels and distributors offering production of Trisol, Pandaimonium, SPV, Earache, etc. in Russia. - Organizing concerts of Western gothic bands in Russia. We have just begun working in this field, although we've been promoting concerts of local bands since 1998. We have already organized ENDRAUM, ATARAXIA, DIARY OF DREAMS, MELOTRON, DAS ICH & L'AME IMMORTELLE live performances in Moscow, and our concert activity will go on. - Concert promotion. We have offered information support on the russian concerts of COIL, Diamanda Galas, TO/DIE/FOR, DER BLUTHARSCH, INADE, BAD SECTOR, RAISON D'ETRE, MOONSPELL, AND ONE, THE 69 EYES, COVENANT, MESH, DEATH IN JUNE, COLONY 5, DE/VISION, LAIBACH, UNHEILIG, IN STRICT CONFIDENCE, BEBORN BETON, DIARY OF DREAMS and many others. - DJ-team work at our regular monthly parties (the largest gothic parties in Moscow) and various other actions.
