This
is the first CD of the only really good dark-folk band on Russian scene. The
gloomy reverie and melancholic beauty will accompany you during the
play-time. In my opinion, each and every fan of dark-folk music must have this
CD in his or her collection. On this page you can read some CD
reviews and listen to a couple of tracks from the album in MP3.

ROMOWE RIKOITO "Narcissism" Reviews
This CD (Romowe Rikoito "Narcissism", (c) Romowe, (p) 1997 Brudenia, R001)
is the debut CD of a very interesting band from Kenigsberg. The conception and
the music of the CD in question is close to WSD bands, and to Current'93, Sol Invictus
and Death in June in particular. I do not know if it is good or bad that such
analogy is clear, but I liked the CD very much, it's very sad and gothic.
Those who like Current'93 and Sol Invictus often define this style dark folk or apocalyptic folk,
and it seems to me that such definition suits Romowe Rikoito, too. At writing
this is one of the most professionally recorded and beautifully decorated
non-commercial Russian albums. The lyrics perform fragments from works of Publius Ovidius Naso ( 43 bc - 18 ad), Bernart de Ventadorn (1145 - 1180), William Blake (1757 - 1827), Isidor Ducasse - Launtreamont (1846 - 1870), Arthur Rimbaud (1854 - 1891),
T. S. Eliot (1888 - 1965), Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828 - 1882).
